Meditation Therapy

Meditation Therapy is a method of relaxation that encourages a heightened state of awareness and focussed attention. Meditation helps to bring peace and serenity into our lives, to be one with our inner selves, to heal and improve our mental and physical health. There are many different styles of meditation, including Muscle Relaxation, Mantra, Zen, Concentrative and Mindfulness to name a few.

There is an incredible amount of research behind meditation. Benefits include:

  • decreased heart rate
  • decreased blood pressure
  • diminished repiratory rate
  • lower pulse rate
  • decreased muscle tension
  • reduction of cortisol
  • stress releasing

Meditation is a tool to help manage stress and therefore help us to live longer.
